About YISS.NCC

The Unit in this school had been run for nearly more than a 10 years now. From years after years, the unit had been finding ways for greater development on student in learning and gaining new skills and experience from this CCA. The unit had gone through the worst experience ever in this long journey but that worst experience will never be the end to the learning journey for the cadets that had joined the YISS.National Cadet Crops.

YISS.NCC is not just about install discipline or regimentation knowledge to the cadets but also about installing life skills to the cadets. Here, in YISS.NCC we are focusing more in building and developing Leaders at such a young age. We educate and enrich the cadets with situational thinking, placing them in a tough scenarios, brain storming, practical test and so on, in developing a leaders mind set and values within themselves. One example is Leading by Example.

Servant Leadership is one of the way that our cadets learn. We serve to lead and we lead to serve. Match with the NCC motto which is "To Serve with Pride and Dedication." and yes we do serve.

The unit also focus on building knowledge such as the core values, trainfire of the M16 Rifle and SAR21, Individual Marksmanship Trainer (IMT), Orienteering Skills, Kayaking, Camping, Jungle Trekking and other adventurous skills and experience.

That is why also, we are focus into physical training. Giving the cadets the purpose and wishes of why they joined NCC in the first place. In which a common reason from cadets you will get is "I want to become strong and fit" and from here, we are preparing them to greater heights for more adventurous routes such as Airborne, Scuba Diving and many more. 

We hope for the best and demand the best for the unit and also for the cadets, ourselves.
