About YISS.PDS
YISS.PDS started out in the year 2005. It all begins with a initiative of a CLT back then. Over the time, PDS grew without the help of the officer and at that year, with the strong initiative from the cadet specialist. They started to recruit people to join PDS with interest. Back at those time, PDS wasn't really recognized by the school. Performance and drills are not by standard drills and etc. It was base on creativity but despite that, it then started to be recognized by the school and people started to watch us performed.
In 2006, the number was still less. Fewer than 15 recruits but regardless the number. We continue to work on. Back then, we only perform most during Orientation Ceremony. At this year, we combine with the concept of Un-armed Combat which turnout to be creative and beautiful and the audience loved it.
At the late 2007, was the time when the Girls unit began to join along the team and started to learn about PDS. At this year, the number of increase in recruitment was large. Here was the turning point to make it even greater. We began to seek help to experience people and also learn the skills of duplication by observation. Regardless the lack of knowledge, we still make an impact to the school.
In 2008, we sent 2 cadets to Basic PDS Course and they successfully pass out with standard knowledge and skills. Later on, they shared to the younger generations and it started to multiply and now, we are following the proper path of training. Now, the school is demanding more of our performances and we will never let them down. Despite the improvement now, we will never stop to find ways to greater improvement and development to this platform, PDS.
